Short and Long Term Effects: Mood swings, acne, depression, aggression, feminine traits in men, masculine traits in women, sterility, heart attack, stroke, liver cancer.

Every Parent Should Know: Paraphernalia associated with steroids can include syringes and ampules (small sealed glass vials that hold hypodermic injectable solutions). Teens who abuse steroids risk stunted growth.
