What Is It and What Does It Look Like: Cocaine/Crack is a stimulant and looks like a white crystalline powder, chips, chunks or white rocks

How It's Used/Abused: Consumed by injecting, smoking, snorting, or swallowing 

What Teens Have Heard: "Keeps you amped up." "You'll be the life of the party." "Legal, safe, not picked up in standard drug test."

Short and Long Term Effects: Increased blood pressure and heart rate, respiratory failure, insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite. Can cause heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and in rare cases even sudden death on the first use. Increased risk of exposure to HIV, hepatitis and other infectious diseases if injected.

Arizona Teen Facts: More teens used cocaine than methamphetamine in 2010.

Signs of Abuse: Nervous behavior, restlessness, bloody noses, high energy.
